Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

These terms govern your use of the MazoRent platform. MazoRent is operated by MazoRent Marketplace FZ-LLC and is a marketplace: we connect you with independent, licensed rental companies in the UAE. We do not own the vehicles and we are not the rental company.

1. What MazoRent is

MazoRent operates a booking platform. Every vehicle listed is owned and operated by a third-party rental company (the supplier) that holds its own UAE trade licence and insurance.

When you book, you enter into a rental agreement with that supplier. MazoRent acts as the booking and payment agent, collects the payment, and settles the supplier's agreed rate.

The price shown to you is a single all-in figure. It includes the supplier's rate, MazoRent's service fee, any cover and extras you select, and 5% VAT.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old, or older where the specific vehicle states a higher minimum age.

You must hold a valid driving licence. UAE residents must hold a UAE licence. Visitors must hold a licence from an accepted country, together with an International Driving Permit where required.

MazoRent verifies your licence and, for residents, your Emirates ID before a booking is confirmed. A booking is not released to the supplier until verification is complete.

3. Payment and deposits

Payment is taken in full at the time of booking.

A refundable security deposit is held as a pre-authorisation on your card. The amount depends on the vehicle and on the cover you choose — declining optional cover increases the deposit rather than removing it.

The deposit is released after the vehicle is returned and the return inspection is complete, less any amount properly charged under these terms.

4. What is not included

Traffic fines, Salik toll charges, parking penalties and impound fees incurred during your rental period are your responsibility. These are billed to you separately when the issuing authority notifies the vehicle owner, together with an administration fee.

Fuel is charged according to the fuel policy stated on the vehicle listing.

Mileage beyond the allowance stated in your booking is charged at the per-kilometre rate shown at checkout.

5. Your responsibilities

Only drivers registered on the booking may drive the vehicle.

The vehicle must not be driven outside the UAE, used for racing or off-road use, sub-let, or used to carry passengers for hire, unless expressly agreed in writing.

You must not drive under the influence of alcohol or any substance that impairs driving. Doing so voids all cover, without exception.

6. Liability

The supplier is the owner and operator of the vehicle and is responsible for its roadworthiness, registration and insurance.

MazoRent's liability is limited to the amounts you have paid to MazoRent for the affected booking.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.

7. Disputes

If a supplier raises a damage, fuel or mileage claim, MazoRent reviews the timestamped handover photographs and inspection records from both pickup and return before deciding.

A claim cannot be upheld against you unless the pickup record establishes the vehicle's condition at handover.

Decisions are communicated to both parties with the reasoning. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Draft — not yet legal advice

This document is a working draft written against common UAE practice. It must be reviewed by a UAE-qualified lawyer before MazoRent accepts a real booking. The commercial terms inside it — cancellation tiers, deposit handling, liability split — are already implemented in the platform, so any change here has to be mirrored in the code.
